For our annual charity event Hollmark Ltd, staff and friends, will be attempting to (masterfully) negotiate the Chelmsford 5K inflatable run! We will be completing this challenge in aid of the wonderful and supportive charity, Young Minds.
Our local comprehensive school, The Billericay School, have a close relationship with Young Minds, being one of their nominated charities.
Young Minds champion children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing across the UK. They are there to help children and young people cope with life’s adversities, find the help when needed and succeed in life.
Young Minds have four strategic aims:
- Foster innovation to meet the needs of vulnerable and excluded children and young people.
- Promote good mental health to more children and young people than ever before.
- Champion the voices of young people and parents to influence mental health policy and practice.
- Inspire excellence to achieve transformed, integrated services.
The Young Minds website hosts a wealth of information for children, parents, and schools. Including, but not limited to, medical conditions, feelings and symptoms, support documents and helpline telephone numbers. Where staggeringly, three children in every classroom have a mental health problem, the website could be a vital tool to help combat the pressures they face today. We highly recommend visiting it.
At Hollmark we have several key clients, some who are involved in the provision of mental health care and schools within the Havering Schools Brokerage, where charities such as this can make a real difference. Given these affiliations we aim to raise as much money to help Young Minds continue their valued work and help as many lives as possible.
